antigallican Posted March 13, 2017 Share #1  Posted March 13, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does anyone know the flash synch speed of the M10? I can't find any online references. I use an M9 as much as I can and a Nikon D810 for studio stuff. I'd love to be able to replace the latter with another Leica  edited later - sorry, I haven't made this very clear. I use the Nikon with a couple of Elinchroms, so that's the sort of synch-ing I mean - not a hand held flash. I wonder if HSS is possible, for example. a.noctilux Posted March 13, 2017 Share #6 Â Posted March 13, 2017 Yes for hard copy with M10. Â Yes also for HSS with Leica compatible flashes on M10.
antigallican Posted March 13, 2017 Author Share #7  Posted March 13, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) Thanks a.noctilux. Of course the M9 simply won't fire at speeds above the 'normal' flash synch speed, so that was one of the points that was bothering me. Live view deals with any other problems.  Next, how to explain the need for a £5k purchase to spouse. 'But I'm selling the Nikon and all those lenses!' pico Posted March 13, 2017 Share #8  Posted March 13, 2017 Next, how to explain the need for a £5k purchase to spouse. 'But I'm selling the Nikon and all those lenses!'  Not sorry. I have no sympathy with those who have to answer to a spouse for purchases. What's with that? Maybe explaining the income dynamics in your household would help. . Then she ask me : You want some new gear, I accept only if you buy some new gear to replace them. Â Nice girl .
antigallican Posted March 13, 2017 Author Share #12 Â Posted March 13, 2017 I'd be amazed if she even knew the forum existed. She's a visual artist, I'm a photographer. She's interested in pictures, but the kit? No way. Too busy!
