Pond life abounds in the blue pool.

As a new drought begins to tighten it's grip the river and the creeks are drying to form isolated pools that swarm with tiny life forms.

This pool is brimming with tadpoles racing to be frogs before their watery ecosystem is completely gone.

I like the little starry reflections Dee.  They look like amoeba, adding to your "pondlife". 

I can see the taddies.

Thanks Dave, the visible taddies were a surprise as the water appeared quite opaque, the results I get from my Leica cameras/lenses routinely surprises me and has done so for over thirty years!
