Etruscello Posted February 20, 2017 Share #1 Posted February 20, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) When using my M240 with 35-70 f4 R lens and Leica adapter, the M tends to freeze when shooting video, and the video files are corrupted. When I change the M lens setting from 35-70 R to Off, the problem seems to stop. Does anyone else experience this problem? Is there another preventive solution? Thanks for any sharing. Advertisement Posted February 20, 2017 Posted February 20, 2017 Hi Etruscello, Take a look here M240 freeze with R lenses?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Etruscello Posted February 26, 2017 Author Share #2 Posted February 26, 2017 I've tested further and can state that for my camera, adapter and lens, the above combination works trouble-freeing only when the camera menu lens detection is set to off. If this is a universal problem, I hope this helps someone in a similar situation. Tom

Etruscello Posted March 1, 2017 Author Share #4 Posted March 1, 2017 I cannot replicate this problem. Thank you for your test and information. Do you think my adapter may be faulty? It does work fine with the 80-200 f4 R. Perhaps a cleaning of the adapter's contacts is needed? Tom
jaapv Posted March 1, 2017 Share #5 Posted March 1, 2017 I have no idea. Possibly it was a glitch with an unrelated cause?
