Vec Posted February 27, 2017 Share #21 Posted February 27, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) If all the lenses agree then I think you're in a good place. It takes a bit of courage to tweak something like a Leica. It's a thing made by humans and can be fixed by humans.

FeralCoton Posted February 27, 2017 Share #22 Posted February 27, 2017 I would normally not think of it, but the thread on adjusting the rangefinder mechanism is so well illustrated, I did it. It wasn't bad at all. Now, if I had more issues than the infinity I wouldn't be so bold... Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
wlaidlaw Posted February 27, 2017 Share #23 Posted February 27, 2017 Remember please: when the point of sharpest focus lies behind the focus point on the test sheet, that is front focus and when the point of sharpest focus lies in front of the focus point on the test sheet, that is back focus. The back and front refer to whether the point of focus lies in front of or to the back of (behind) the imaging medium, film or a digital sensor inside the camera not on the test sheet. This understandably always seems to cause confusion. The clearest explanation of this, with diagrams, that I have seen, is in Norman Goldberg's book: "The Dark side of the Lens." FeralCoton Posted February 28, 2017 Share #24 Posted February 28, 2017 Thanks. I may not use the terms correctly. My lenses would focus at infinity just a bit before the focusing ring hit the infinity stop. A very slight tap on the hex wrench in the clockwise direction fixed it Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
