rafikiphoto Posted February 12, 2017 Share #1 Posted February 12, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am have been looking at some digital asset management/viewer software and I find a problem with displaying M240 DNG files. They look OK in thumbnail but when expanded into viewer mode remain very small. Other RAW file formats, namely Canon CR2, CRW and Fujifilm RAF, display in full screen in the DAM's viewer. The two I have found this problem with are iMatch and FastStone, both the latest versions. I am using the latest FastPictureViewer codec pack. Oddly FastPictureViewer Pro displays M240 DNG files OK. Why should these DNG files not expand in the viewers?
Advertisement Posted February 12, 2017 Posted February 12, 2017 Hi rafikiphoto, Take a look here M240 DNG files in some DAM software.... I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Exodies Posted February 12, 2017 Share #2 Posted February 12, 2017 The thumbnails are embedded in the DNG so are easy to display. Harder is to develop the Leica DNG to show a higher resolution picture. It could just be a lack of software due to a small user base.
david strachan Posted February 12, 2017 Share #3 Posted February 12, 2017 Brian, I like FastStone too. Go to Settings, RAW and do your viewing adjustments there. I have mine set on "half-size" and get a perfect image (DNG from my M-P)...takes a few seconds to come up, as the program has to think about it. I sort my images to show JPG's first, making a much quicker viewing experience. Good program. all best...
