John McMaster Posted February 9, 2017 Share #3 Posted February 9, 2017 Looks similar to what mine had, send it to Wetzlar and they should arrange to fix it for nothing (including couriers).... john

relms Posted February 10, 2017 Share #5 Posted February 10, 2017 Yes, that looks all too familiar. I found it on both my S2-P and S006, and to Leica's credit, they repaired both at no cost to me, albeit not so swiftly.
BouBou Posted February 12, 2017 Share #6 Posted February 12, 2017 I sent my S2 this year apparently it's just a question of dusty grease. I thought it would be the sensor but apparently Leica Wetzlar just washed the sensor. No cost for me. The problem of kodak sensor exist on M9 but not on S. Nobody cannot be sure it's the true but Leica repair freely; it's not impossible against the Cost of Leica Model's S they choise these answer. Regards. BouBou. oronet commander Posted February 12, 2017 Share #7 Posted February 12, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) It looks a bit different from the typical crab-like spots surrounded by a white halo found on corroded M9 sensors. I'd bet on drops of light oil...
