jaapv Posted June 18, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 18, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Maybe it was posted before in this forum, in that case I missed it. One excellent accessory for the M8 is in the make: http://rangefinderforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41649
Advertisement Posted June 18, 2007 Posted June 18, 2007 Hi jaapv, Take a look here Accesory heads up. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Shootist Posted June 18, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 18, 2007 Yes it has been posted before. I find that the thumb rest part is to long, to far out to the side of the body. No other M film advance is that far out to the side at the rest position. In any event I'd hate to see what it does to the back of the camera. Scratches like on the top of a M3 or 4 from the Leica MC/MR meters or even worse. I'll stick to the grip base.
carstenw Posted June 18, 2007 Share #3 Posted June 18, 2007 Ed, a thin piece of neoprene on the back would easily stop any marks from being made. I agree that it is a little long, and I would prefer for it not to sit in the hotshoe. Then again, the inventor doesn't have much to work with. There is hardly any way to do this. Hans Roggen Posted June 18, 2007 Share #5 Posted June 18, 2007 Hi Ed, He has made a shorter version, with the thumb rest not so far to the side of the body.
