I will not read through 57 pages of this thread assuming most of them must be obsolete since the release of the M10R release, but what are your current expectation for the future iteration of the M line which should be the M11 now that the M10 line up is complete ?

My Wishlist is:

-Same design. If there was to be a change, I would love the thumb mechanism of the M10D but I am not counting on it.

-No more than 47MP sensor please god.

-1/8000th shutter speed so I can leave my NDs at home and take the M experience to a new minimalism level

-A little better low light performance

-Availability at the store near my house on day 1!

Seems realistic no?

My wishes are very similar to yours. Actually I am waiting for the M11-D, because I don't want a back screen. I want the same fold-out thumb rest, engraving on top and silent shutter. But I hope the cumbersome Wi-Fi connection will be replaced by an instant Bluetooth variant.

I don't care about more resolution, but a faster shutter speed would be very welcome.

Leica needs to address the need for a flash socket when the EVF is fitted ...otherwise it is not a true system camera. I want to take photos of plates of food on dinner plates using the viso and with flash but cannot do that. I do not do street photography and that seems to be the Leica hot button. Pity as the camera can do so much more.

Why not just use live view on the back screen? The Visoflex has its benefits, but for this use I can't see it is very necessary.

I do use live view but if you want to use bellows and do macro photography it is not practical in my view. I use that on my digilux 2 camera also but again I feel if yu have an M10 with a bunch of Leica lenses I would expect the camera to handle flash as system camera should.
