I don't know, just asking. 28mm lenses would be out of the question...no frame lines. With my former 0,85 M6 you could see the 35mm line well I the viewfinder and a 28 mm wasn't a problem. I'd send them a letter or give them a call. (Quite a few years back I wanted to replace the M9 finder with the one on the M8 as I prefer to have exact focus at 1m and I was told it was possible. I never did it.) I may ask that question of the Leica rep myself when I'm back next week as I'd prefer that as well (mostly a 50mm myself). If I do, I'll report back. I do think that the new finder has killed two birds with one stone, so to speak, in that we now have better viewfinder magnification on a digital M than we've ever had before, and can also see more of the finder at the same time. So they've kind of made it less necessary to have 3 different models of finder magnification (0.58x, 0.72x, and 0.85x). I think this is a versatile solution and it allows leica to make fewer configurations. There is always of course viewfinder magnifiers. Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
