karla1 Posted January 25, 2017 Share #1 Posted January 25, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I live in UK but am considering buying a Leica Q from America online. This Leica was originally bought in May 2016 but has a dent in the dial so it does not turn. The Leica Q has an official guarantee from the manufacturer which lasts for 2 years. If I buy that camera, could I use that official gurantee, even though the camera was bought in America, and have that dial fixed in the UK? And if so, where could it be fixed? Thanks
Advertisement Posted January 25, 2017 Posted January 25, 2017 Hi karla1, Take a look here Would Leica Q Official Gurantee from manufacturer in USA be used in U.K.?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
stuny Posted January 25, 2017 Share #2 Posted January 25, 2017 Karla - Assuming your Q came with the Leica passport you should be able to have it fixed via a UK dealer, who will probably send it to Germany. Sometimes Leica will not fix some problems under warrantee, such as if the damage was due to the camera being dropped. But let's see what other forum member say. Welcome to the forum.
