Have you considered a crop, eg as here? Creates interesting tension between seated group and people in far distance.

 

 

Not really, considering that you've cropped out what I like and think is the point of the picture. I shot six frames at f/1.4 moving the plane of focus from the front to the back of the pictures — the one I posted is the one I liked.

I would say cropping someone else's photo without asking is a bit of a no-no. I liked it a lot better as intended by the copyright owner.

 

 

No, I think it's fine, and am interested in how others look at a picture.
