The following pictures are all made with an old Summaron 3,5/35. Sharpness is only in the middle acceptable, i had to move the contrast-button to the right the most time. :)

B&W conversion 21mm f2.8. Had to increase clarity to reduce the subtlety of tonal gradation!

I followed your advice but would like to undo the changes. Is there a possibility to restore the default settings that Lightroom usually applies to M10 files?

In Lightroom Click Lightroom, Preferences and select the Presets tab.  From here just click "Reset all Developer settings".

As an alternative use of the camera, I'm currently involved in a photo-documentation in secondary education in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia this week.  The M10s are performing impeccably - and having the EVF makes the 135 completely reliable from a focus / frame perspective.  These are with 28 / 75 / 135 - working with two M bodies.  SO nice not to have to lug the Canon + monopod around.

The ISO wheel is also invaluable.  You can instantly see what settings you're using (ISO/Aperture/Shutter) and it's quick to adjust.

Nice image :)

Knowing that 3200 is not going to throw up any problems AND that you've got a perfectly usable 6400 in reserve is great!

Chris - Thanks. What I wonder is how much latitude you lose at ISO 6400. With the M9, Jim Kasson showed decisively (blog.kasson.com) that it was better to shoot at ISO 640 and "push" in Lightroom, rather than shooting at higher ISOs.

I have the impression that with the M10 you can lift shadows (i.e., push) quite a bit, perhaps as much as with the M9 at ISO 640, which could be as much as 3-4 stops, depending on the image. Although, it's not often that I would need to push the ISO 3200 of the M10 that much.

Mitch - I've not been using 6400 that much.  The attached is a 3200 image.  I've given it as exposed and with +3 stops.  Also 100% crops. I'd say that the M10 gives you a lot back from the shadows if you need it and I've not felt there would be a value in pushing in LR - though I've not experimented with this. No Luminance NR applied in any of these.

Hope this helps.

Chris - Yes, my feeling — based on inadequate experience, though —  is that there is no problem pushing an M10 ISO 3200 image 3-4 stops. With the M9, it was better limiting oneself to ISO 640 and pushing in Lightroom because the dynamic range declined so much each ISO stop after 640 that you increased in camera, and the results in pushing in Lightroom were better.

With the M10 there is no reason not to shoot at ISO 3200 — and I like the look. Whether it's better to use ISO 6400 and higher, rather than shooting at ISO 3200 and pushing in Lightroom, we'll eventually find up. But I haven't found the need to go to ISO 6400 yet.

Chris and Nowehereman thanks for your interesting images. Being myself on a waiting list ( I'm patient!) I'm curious of the result in interiors shots from the M10. Most of images in this thread  are good but shots in good light therefore not so interesting for me. I hope you'll share more! Thanks again

Not all interiors - but they give an idea of the latitude you've got.  Each time you have as exposed and then 100% crop  +3 stops.  I'd never dream of pushing this far in real life - I rather like shadows!  ;)
