Infantasy Posted January 8, 2017 Share #1 Posted January 8, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) I recently bought a used Leica M3. The seller advised it had been modified from DS to SS. The function was checked normal. However, I loaded a film for test a few days later found that the release button stuck after cocked. The release is normal if no film is loaded. I checked the film loading compartment found that a disc with an indent, which rotates with the lever, does not fully rotated (only 1-2 degree lacked) that blocked the depress of the release button linkage. Does anybody know how to repair it? Thanks.

You may see the linkage of release button is obstructed by the disc if film is loaded. Welcome, dear visitor! TomB_tx Posted January 9, 2017 Share #3 Posted January 9, 2017 I don't know about the shutter release issue, but the messed-up slots on the visible screws are sure a sign of very careless work.
