andybarton Posted June 16, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 16, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Nah!! Not really! Those of you who understand Islay whiskies will know Bruichladdich and the story behind its re-birth. Bruichladdich is the only true integrated Islay whisky, bottled on site, cut with local spring water, and with a great company ethos. Look out for the Port Charlotte whisky in the future - the team behind Bruichladdich have bought the old Port Charlotte distillery, and plan a reopening October 2008. They have just released a "Port Charlotte" whisky, distilled in Bruichladdich to an original P.C. style, and I can tell you it tastes absolutely superb. I bought a bottle while I was there, and wish I'd bought 2 or 3. This is my kind of whisky.
