petert531 Posted August 8, 2006 Author Share #21 Posted August 8, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) I speak 4-English, French (excellent)German(good), and Polish (enough to get by and communicate with the mother in law). By far the toughest is Polish. I imagine Russian is similar, but a new alphabet. Lots is similar and I understand a lot of spoken Russian bits. The cases and vocab are the killer....but it's great to know a Slavic language. Each language is like having another soul, not to mention a whole new population of woment to chase...LOL. I had to learn all these language (except English) the hard way...fortunately my French teacher was old school and I learned English grammar more than in any English class! Advertisement Posted August 8, 2006 Posted August 8, 2006 Hi petert531, Take a look here Natalia. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
A fascinating series of postings which illustrate the infinite number of ways of presenting a portrait. Thank you also for your interesting family narrative. David
comapedrosa Posted August 11, 2006 Share #24 Posted August 11, 2006 I still prefer the original photo. Ah, Natalia, you already robbed me of one or two nights! Peter, if it comes close to YOUR style, that’s perfect for me.
