Definitely not - it needs to be with MY black M7, can't you see that?

Very nice combo jwang.

Is the MP as heavy as a brick like the M7 or more like a featherweight like the M6 classic?

Hi,

M7 is 610g and MP ist 585g, the Nocti ist 700g.

i have to get an mp before i die. but i can't sell the m6 either, cause it's my first leica. but i'll get an m9 before the mp. i will not buy anymore leica Ms after the mp.

Why not sell your first M6 and DO NOT buy M9 - and just buy the MP?

I sold the M8 to get the MP +++ M's ;)

"Back[film:(:o] to future[Full frame and better dynamics]"

Not the best of pictures, but then, now you know why I sold my M8 and bought an MP.

I really do enjoy film more. It is good to be back in the fold.

Even twins, phantastic !

Isn´t it incredible you can attach a 60 to 70 year old lens to a camera made in 2008 ?

What nice combo, thx for sharing.

Best

I'm about 10-12 pages into this thread. This point really is amazing and worth commenting on.

Totally amazing!

Sorry, no MP, but it even works this way with a lens from 1928 ...

Hopefully it doesn´t look too weird.

--^---AWESOME!

I always wonder, what the designers of these great lenses would say if they could see their work lasted 70+ years and still performed beautifully. How proud they would be! I've got a cobbled mod that allows (with great patience) a 110 year old Euryscop to mount on a D3. I'd love to see what your combo produces, I'll bet it's quite glorious.

Hope it is not off-topic in this wonderful MP-thread. If so, mods., feel free

to eradicate this ... Here is a quick sample taken with the above digital combo this afternoon.

The weather in Germany is very wet and cold just now, so this is an indoor-shot

just behind a window (M9 with a 50mm ELMAR 3.5 - set to f 4.5 - from the old Barnack days,

about 1928).

Enjoy your LEICA MP !

I did the same thing as you did - "back to future;)" - sold my 99% new M8 and bought a new MP. Much more joy and feeling....

Before I sold the M8 I decided to go for the M9. I look at older Leica catalogues, then I felt in love with this timeless tool... (Yes, I had M6, M7..)

After having tried the M9 at a Leica AD, I still do not regret going for the MP instead of the M9. One BIG reason: The feel of solid mechnical build quality.

I will rather get a cheap digital camera for "simple shots" and spend some £$ for films....

Woww. Nice, your MP is like mine :)

I love my MP. There are things I might sell in the further... But not the MP.

The MP is far better than any other Leica M I have tried.

It's a timeless masterpiece of mechanical photographic hardware
