fbf Posted December 11, 2009 Share #1385 Posted December 11, 2009 My 0.85x mag with a new 50 [/img] Peter, that domke strap is going to really kill the paint quickly... I have it on my nikon SLRs and it is great for fast shooting but it does scratches the body if you are not careful.
peter_n Posted December 11, 2009 Share #1386 Posted December 11, 2009 Actually it's the swivel hooks that are looking the worse for wear rather than the bodies! This is a home-brewed strap, I had two old Domke bag straps of 1½ inch width, removed the stitching, bought the swivel hooks and split-rings, and had a local cobbler re-stitch the straps. The strap length is adjustable from the top of my chest down to my hip and they come off really easily if I want to use a wrist strap. An incredibly flexible arrangement and if the bodies get a bit scratched it is worth it for the usability. They are keepers anyway. There's a close-up of a split-ring/swivel hook below. You´ve got a very nice combination! My own MP has also the Leicavit MP on it. It´s a well balanced camera even with a Summicron 90 on it.
