Gee they are in some nick. I was going to say "when they go on the block Im in" but looking at your site you've already off'd two of them or did you have even more?

I sold the black paint, and have settled on the black chrome instead. These are the three that I currently have and intend to keep... finances allowing. I primarily use the black ones.

How come you let the 35f2ASPH go?

I have two pre-asph Summicron 35's and preferred those to the newer ASPH model. I would have kept it for specific applications, but simply needed to re-prioritize funds at this time. It wasn't going to get used much and would be very easy to replace someday if need be.

So I rooted around on my hard disk for one that shows the strap better but now it has a BP lens so maybe this is OK... ;)

High shutter speeds and wobbly re-wind post. :D

Needs to take more photos. Dealer recommends regularly exercising the speeds that you don't use, even if the camera is new. I have no idea why that would be.

Rather than being negative about it, I quite like the idea of the body being 'tuned' for perfect service after a few months running-in.

According to the Leica NJ repair dept. folks, it keeps the lubricant from drying out and also keeps the lubricant uniformly coated on all the moving parts inside.

They say that if any Leica M camera not being used regularly, you should get it out once a week and click off five "exposures" at each shutter speed. This takes about two minutes.

They also say leave your lens apertures set wide open when lenses are not being used,

Lots of clicks for little money. :D

They only supply UK, Ireland and Channel Islands. I thought it was the same place I bought 20packs for eleven pounds from in UK. It isnt though, and the mob I went to are out of the 07/07 stuff(Insert weeping smilie here).

Thanks Darkstar. Good information. Didn't know about the lens aperture.

My MP is up and running again and will be receiving more exercise from now on. :D
