JBA Posted February 11, 2008 Share #421 Posted February 11, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) I cheated and rented an MP and 50 Summilux ASPH just so I could finally post something in this thread. The combination is such a joy to use that I shot six rolls of film in a day. With luck, some of the photos will be keepers. Looking forward to getting one of my own eventually, and in the meantime I know I can always rent one when I'm jonesing. Welcome, dear visitor! Naos Posted February 19, 2008 Share #424 Posted February 19, 2008 My 0.85x MP in its new Griptac coat. What lens do you have on the end of your MP? It's a beast!
peter_n Posted February 19, 2008 Share #425 Posted February 19, 2008 An E58 Noctilux. Not that big really, I think the perspective is giving you that impression. The one below shows the lens better but not the Griptac. I love the Griptac BTW. Welcome, dear visitor! thomasw_ Posted February 20, 2008 Share #426 Posted February 20, 2008 Peter, I like the new Griptac covering. From where did you obtain it...Aki or CamaeraLeather or ? Sincerely, Thomas
peter_n Posted February 20, 2008 Share #427 Posted February 20, 2008 Advertisement (gone after registration) From Cameraleather Thomas. I sent the cam to them to be recovered. It went last Tuesday and it arrived back Saturday morning, they did a great job and Morgan is a pleasure to deal with. This color is charcoal black, the nearest they have to a real black. As you can perhaps see from the pictures it is almost black - a very dark gray. It looks good and (what I'm really interested in) the camera is totally transformed in terms of its grip. I use this 0.85x mag body for 50/1.0, 75/2, 90/2 and 135/4 lenses and this covering, along with my TA Rapidgrip means that I now have no worries about my grip on the cam. meatboy Posted March 3, 2008 Share #437 Posted March 3, 2008 Hi -kk-, and welcome to the forum, just curious, what framelines does the 40mm bring up on your MP? Tim
-kk- Posted March 3, 2008 Share #438 Posted March 3, 2008 it brings up the 50. not sure if i want to file it down to match the 35, actually quite prefer it this way. (also, i may still keep the CL, so not sure if filing it will have any effect on the CL framelines) you can see the lens is well worn i use it for about 90% of the time.
