aesop Posted August 5, 2015 Share #3221 Posted August 5, 2015 Advertisement (gone after registration) Just finished a small releathering project for the MP. A superb workhorse camera ...really nice covering, rirakuma, and the camera body is brassing very well. Does the viewfinder frame properly when (presumably) shooting wider than 28mm? I ask because I have learnt to use a 24mm without an additional viewfinder.

rirakuma Posted August 6, 2015 Share #3222 Posted August 6, 2015 ...really nice covering, rirakuma, and the camera body is brassing very well. Does the viewfinder frame properly when (presumably) shooting wider than 28mm? I ask because I have learnt to use a 24mm without an additional viewfinder. Its accurate for scenes about 3m+ distance but you have to compensate with the dotted lines as you get closer and its probably better to just use the RF at minimum focus distance. If you're good with framing you won't need it but I have grown fond of it because in sunny days I find it quicker to zone focus and frame compared to using the RF
Peng Kang Hill Posted August 8, 2015 Share #3223 Posted August 8, 2015 (edited) Nice covering, rirakuma. Where did you order it from? I might get one like that for my M3! Dom Edited August 8, 2015 by Peng Kang Hill
rirakuma Posted August 8, 2015 Share #3224 Posted August 8, 2015 Nice covering, rirakuma. Where did you order it from? I might get one like that for my M3! Dom I do a bit of leather crafting on the side so this was a project I worked on for a few months. I don't know of any companies that sells stingray covering but you could try arte di mano to see if they may be able to do a special order, I believe they have artisans that work on exotic skins. Keith (M) Posted August 16, 2015 Share #3229 Posted August 16, 2015 Brand new! The 28mm is a joy to use with the 0.58 viewfinder. Agreed - As a spectacle wearer, I ordered mine with the 0.58 for use with my Elmarit-M ASPH 28mm & Summaron 35mm f2.8. (My M7 is used for 50mm etc.) Welcome, dear visitor! tadeyev Posted August 17, 2015 Share #3230 Posted August 17, 2015 My mp-6! Congrats with the MP 6! Little known and kind of rare, as the first incarnation of the MP, when Leica still made the (production) connection to the M6. I think this one was from Taobao? LarsAC Posted September 18, 2015 Share #3238 Posted September 18, 2015 Don't think so. Holding an apple mouse next to an M camera it looks ok. That MP even has a Leicavit mounted so it is slightly higher compared to a standard M. Lars
menos I M6 Posted September 19, 2015 Share #3239 Posted September 19, 2015 Our eyes are so used to the truck sized MP after following through this great thread that once one is on display just on the edge of the table it simply looks different ;-)
