Well, this shows, how different people are. The MP is the one camera I will never sell.

In my experience, there is a curve to rangefinders, at the beginning, they feel a bit weird, especially, when being used to a different system, however, after some practice, their operation can be done subconsciously.

The MP does exactly what I want it to do. If anything goes wrong, it is my fault. In my impression, all automatic cameras do something different, with a slight delay.

Rangefinders are annoying at the beginning. All other cameras become slightly annoying, after the novelty has worn off. At least, in my experience. :)

The Leica MP Olive set with silver Summilux 35 looks nice on ebay right now. It looks like a new Japan release?

I don't know. It looks like one I saw before a few years ago.

You mean this one:

I hope that's some irony. I can't imagine being able to buy one of those on a whim.  :o

So, umm, well I was in a Leica dealer and made the mistake of picking up a Leica MP in silver. hmmmm ........

Luckily its beautifully smooth in operation as well

Well I was looking for a new film camera. Long story.

I was actually looking for a M7 to replace my previous one.

It was second hand but still had guarantee left and looked like the previous owner had never used it.

It's a really beautiful camera. I just thought, I have never tried an MP before, so lets go.

I think it probably is the most beautiful camera I have ever held. Not really buying off a spec. sheet, but at least the sensor is upgradeable ;)
