I got my brand new MP a la carte today, I think Im in love:)

Just a quick question. I think the "wheel" for the shutter time goes a bit to heavy. Will that be better when I have used it for a while or can I adjust it with the little screw on the top of it?

It does get smoother with time and usage. Just like loosening up the focus ring on a lens, you don't have to do it by taking photographs; you can simply twiddle it until it loosens (but there are many advantageous side effects to using film to loosen the shutter speed dial!)

Do post up a picture of your new love.

Thanks, I think I will twiddle with it tonight and see if anything happens:)

Shutter speed dial was the correct word for it, not "shutter time wheel" as I wrote. When I wrote the post I just could not come up with the right name, think I had a blackout, maybe too mutch beer:D

I post a pic of it tomorrow!

<snip>...can I adjust it with the little screw on the top of it?

...and just in case you are still not crystal clear on the above, do *not* fiddle with the screw on the shutter speed dial (or indeed any other screws on the camera). You have done the correct thing by bringing your "issue" to the forum for an initial sounding. Ultimately, your dealer and Leica hold the definitive word on such issues. Worth remembering. :)

My now overall favourite combo and one of the first pictures with it - on the lowly Kodak Gold 400. Just love it.

It is also very difficult to compare to the M9. The two are so different. The MP feels, sounds and looks better, is easier to hold, ready quicker for shooting, and much simpler. What a difference a few materials and millimeters make!

I dont know if I should ask this here but I do it anyway.

I was out today and took some photos. I was using T-max 100. It was very sunny so I could never take shots with the lens wide open. Can I shot a roll of T-max 100 at iso 50 or 25 and have it processet at iso 50 or 25?

Yes, but effectively you will be over-exposing the film and underdeveloping (called pull processing) to compensate. It doesn't really slow down the film.

Another option would be to use a neutral density filter to cut the overall light entering the lens.

In bright light, you might try some Ilford Pan-F 50 film. It delivers spectacular photos.
