Advertisement Posted December 21, 2016 Posted December 21, 2016 Hi Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS, Take a look here Scotland to get battered with high winds. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Peter H Posted December 21, 2016 Share #22 Â Posted December 21, 2016 Welcome home Neil! Â And remember that even if the weather doesn't worry you, they are predicting power failures which are a real serious pain. Keep all your batteries fully charged. Â It's already getting pretty wild up where I am. How far north are you travelling?
Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS Posted December 21, 2016 Share #23 Â Posted December 21, 2016 Peter my plan is to head over to fort William on the 27th. Then up to stoer and on to Durness and down to Inverness to demo the XQD on the 29th. Will stop over in both stoer and Inverness before heading back to Dundee. convexferret Posted December 21, 2016 Share #25 Â Posted December 21, 2016 It's practically tropical in Edinburgh right now with blue sky in at least two directions and no gales to speak of. I'm off down towards Dunbar with M246 in hand.
RoySmith Posted December 21, 2016 Share #26  Posted December 21, 2016 Saying that I'm getting peer pressure to buy the 24/90 even though I know it's not that great a lens......... I just don't need it if I want to shoot landscape I will use S007 or if while traveling I will use Noctilux or the 21mm SCM that I just bought   Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk   Actually you should get the new Summilux-SL 50mm. Its weatherproof and it supposed to be as good as anything Leica has made before. (I'm still waiting for mine)

LocalHero1953 Posted December 21, 2016 Share #28 Â Posted December 21, 2016 Scotland should be a mandatory testing ground for two things: camera weatherproofing systems and insect repellent. In my experience, Deet is the only repellent known to keep midges at bay, so I assume that's where they checked it out. I hope Leica did the same with the SL. Guest NEIL-D-WILLIAMS Posted December 21, 2016 Share #29 Â Posted December 21, 2016 Those little b@stards get everywhere..................I'm hoping minus degrees will keep them at bay. I will take my S007 up the west cost and see if we can git it a work out :)Â Nope not true I only have one S lens with me so SL will have to maybe get wet
