And with Epson rebates until year end....$300 on the P800 and, if it still exists, another $50 for trading up on the 3800. Check the Epson rebate site. ymc226 Posted January 15, 2017 Share #5 Posted January 15, 2017 Is anyone considering the newly announced replacement for the Epson 4900, the SC P5000? Supposedly, it is more clog resistant and has an ink set that has more permanence. I was considering a P7000 for personal use but the thought of having a 200+ pound printer on stand seems overkill. Though it cannot print 24 inch wide like the P7000, the SC P5000 should have the same quality of prints as it uses the same inks and weighs a mere 112 lbs.
