NigelG Posted January 10, 2017 Share #1201 Posted January 10, 2017 Advertisement (gone after registration) At least there's a chrome option this time (I can't smuggle in a black one amongst my current).....just have to wait for a 'p' version so no giveaway red dot. Does it also look in the pic that the deck by the iso dial is dropped further (a la M3 etc) so the iso is a 'drum' rather than a dial???
Advertisement Posted January 10, 2017 Posted January 10, 2017 Hi NigelG, Take a look here Leica M 10. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!

Gotta say - with the fake bokeh and all - that end of the camera is the bit that looks fake to me. Just doesn't look right. But the rest is so convincing I guess it's just a quirk of the shot. Would love to see the front of this thing.

Distagon Posted January 10, 2017 Share #1204 Posted January 10, 2017 These are on EBAY US. Many will not post to Europe, and postage and customs duty has to be added. Beware.Camera and import tariff both Made in Germany.Go figure.
Hey You Posted January 10, 2017 Share #1205 Posted January 10, 2017 The ThumbGrip portion of the thumbwheel seems to project more than on the M240. That would make it a more effective Thumbie.
adli Posted January 10, 2017 Share #1206 Posted January 10, 2017 Leica has chosen the SL and the TL for EVF/mirrorless. Being a small company it is unlikely they will release a third model series with the same concept. You want it small, buy a TL. You want the best, buy a SL. You want an M, you have chosen a rangefinder camera.... Or there are a lot of people loving M lenses in the first place. Some of them prefer rangefinders but others would be perfectly happy with an EVIL designed for M lenses. As long as they don't call it an M i don't mind at all but would Leica be interested in such an EVIL w/o choosing an L mount for it, this is the question. ELAN Posted January 10, 2017 Share #1208 Posted January 10, 2017 It does appear to be somewhat more slim ((just check the on/off switch and speed dial)) but no markings around the switch? Here's a thought jaap - did the Movie button became another notch on the on/off switch? And maybe instead of adding another M marking on the switch they removed all markings and show the switch position in the viewfinder? And if the viewfinder shows more info.... maybe it has a transparent screen.... could it be a OVF/EVF ?? Yah, dream on.
jmahto Posted January 10, 2017 Share #1209 Posted January 10, 2017 Well spotted... No.. it is like T. Covered in prev page. There seems to be indeed EVF.

Hot shoe and cover is very much like T (means T's EVF will be used confirmed previous rumors).

It just means the hot shoes are superficially similar.

It just means the hot shoes are superficially similar. One thing that most EVF cameras have is an eye- sensor next to the viewfinder window which this doesn't appear to have. Unless they have been very clever and concealed it. They did a good job with the SL so it's possible they've dome even better here, but I think it's looking rather unlikely. UliWer Posted January 10, 2017 Share #1215 Posted January 10, 2017 What strikes me most is that it is really called "M10". Until now I was rather sure that this was an Internet myth.

JPH1962 Posted January 10, 2017 Share #1219 Posted January 10, 2017 Pity the ISO wheel is not in focus! in focus is only what Leica wants to be in focus, the whole pics looks very well taken care of. The left side of the top cover does not look symmetric, seems that something is missing on the upper side of the M. Anyway - The Leica com activities are launched :-) JP
willeica Posted January 10, 2017 Share #1220 Posted January 10, 2017 The on/off switch may be just a black dot when 'live' and a red dot underneath when 'locked'. A bit like the M7. William
