count_greebo Posted November 7, 2016 Share #1 Posted November 7, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi all, after reading all I could find on the forum I settled for using an achromat for macro up to the 1:1 range on the 24-90 for the moment and go for the 60/2.8 later or wait for the native SL macro. There seem to be three sets on the market: Marumi 5 and 3 diopter and Canon/Polaroid 4 and 2 diopter, which are about half the price. Would there be any reason in quality to go for the Marumi? Thanks a lot -cg-

thighslapper Posted November 7, 2016 Share #2 Posted November 7, 2016 I have lots of Marumis ...... I cannot fault their quality and performance. I have generally managed to get them heavily discounted by shopping around so the differential compared to canon/polaroid is not that enormous. Compared to the cost of the SL and 24-90 the cost is trivial .....
