kaiserphoenix Posted November 1, 2016 Share #2 Posted November 1, 2016 This is a UK thing to adjust for GBP devaluation. It is an across the board increase, of around 7-12%.

pedaes Posted November 1, 2016 Author Share #4 Posted November 1, 2016 Have you a link? All the main dealers have changed prices on their websites simultaneously. Visit a website to check any specific item. As a guide, Stephens (Manchester) seem to be full RRP most of the time.

It will be temporary - we Brits look forward to the day... In the short term have to tighten belts, and my subscription to LFI will have to go. Guest Posted November 1, 2016 Share #9 Posted November 1, 2016 Just sent LFI my notice of closing my subscription which is the required way to close the LFI subscription. For anyone interested they threaten legal action if you just stop paying . It is unlikely they would take action but as the paper is hard and tough ( a little like the armour plating on a Panzer tank ) and not soft and perforated it is not possible to use it for the more obvious purpose. It is unlikely they would take action... You need to stop subscription via a written note (registered letter preferred) according to German laws. Seems not to be nessesary in UK, but stopping just payment is not enough! Thomas
mjh Posted November 2, 2016 Share #12 Posted November 2, 2016 MJH sounds as if he is enjoying it. While I would have enjoyed a different outcome of the referendum, those who opted for ‘Leave’ have got it coming.
wattsy Posted November 2, 2016 Share #13 Posted November 2, 2016 While I would have enjoyed a different outcome of the referendum, those who opted for ‘Leave’ have got it coming. Really? What about those who voted remain: have they "got it coming" too?
jaapv Posted November 2, 2016 Share #14 Posted November 2, 2016 Well, maybe those who thought the whole episode would be a good idea got it coming...
wattsy Posted November 2, 2016 Share #15 Posted November 2, 2016 Breathtaking arrogance from some of our European 'friends'. Perhaps I shouldn't be surprised.
wattsy Posted November 2, 2016 Share #16 Posted November 2, 2016 MJH sounds as if he is enjoying it. Add me to the list of LFI exits I'd do likewise if I thought LFI was worthy of a subscription in the first place.
M9reno Posted November 2, 2016 Share #17 Posted November 2, 2016 Whatever our views on the wisdom of the vote, and whatever the rhetoric attached to those views, inflation and the drop in the value of the pound are realities that are now starting to affect everyone here. Guest Posted November 2, 2016 Share #18 Posted November 2, 2016 While I would have enjoyed a different outcome of the referendum, those who opted for ‘Leave’ have got it coming. I certainly did not vote for Brexit and I don't need one of our so called friends to remind me of the outcome.
ianman Posted November 2, 2016 Share #19 Posted November 2, 2016 Well, maybe those who thought the whole episode would be a good idea got it coming... Yes, but unfortunately they haven't got a brain between them.
Guest Posted November 2, 2016 Share #20 Posted November 2, 2016 Well, maybe those who thought the whole episode would be a good idea got it coming...That is one viewpoint which I agree but I would not be a bit surprised at an about turn. However I think the members of the Common Market have enough of their own problems and don't need to worry about ours. For a start I would sudgest MJH concentrates on improving circulation, than reducing it.
