likealot Posted October 19, 2016 Share #2 Posted October 19, 2016 Dan, your work is always a pleasure to view (I still keep admiring those pics from Comicon 16) . The video capabilities of the Q are truly amazing. And I was one of the sceptics that could not see the point of having the video option. But I stand corrected. dancook Posted October 19, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted October 19, 2016 Thanks! But you could still be right, I only did it as a technical exercise I can't imagine really taking video
SonomaBear Posted October 20, 2016 Share #4 Posted October 20, 2016 My family constantly asks me to make a video of a family event. iPhone works very well in most circumstances. The Q makes a even better video and you control exposure and focus. If a really serious recording, the Canon 6D, tripod, and glass du jour are called for. All things considered, not having video would never dissuade me from buying a Leica. But not having Live View would eliminate my purchase. Not for video, for composition on a tripod with focus confirmation etc. I just used a M240 for he first time and the images are spectacular with every lens I tried. And my old eyes focused far better than I expected, But, all in all, my perfect M would be the 240 with the Q EVF.
