Chuck Hatcher Posted June 13, 2007 Share #1 Posted June 13, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) I am fairly new with the M8 and still trying to organize a workflow I am comfortable and semi-competent with. One of the things I want to include is editing the EXIF information to include additional information about the photos. Assuming Leica is not going to suddenly provide the ability to customize what comes from the camera, and Phase One is not going to suddenly add an EXIF editor to the Capture One software, turning to a third party for software seems like the only choice. I am planning to save the DNG files I shoot in case I ever want to re-process from scratch. I am undecided on whether or not to save intermediate TIF files. Ideally I would want to make my EXIF changes to the DNG files, so that any derivatives from that would have the added information included. Searching Google I see there are a few tools that seem to allow editing EXIF data in DNG format files, and many more that will not (TIFF, JPEG, etc). The other option would be leave the DNG files alone and edit the TIFF's. My question is what is everyone using to edit EXIF data, and where in the workflow do you use it? Do you modify your DNG files?

cbretteville Posted June 13, 2007 Share #2 Posted June 13, 2007 Tag the files with additional files during import to whatever you use as a library - like Lightroom. Or during edit in PS.
