Whether you keep the unused cameras or not comes down partly to storage space and whether you need the cash you could raise by selling them. In my case, the myth that my Leica habit is at no cost as long as I sell as well as buy is what keeps my Financial Controller happy.

 

However, I did not buy a M and the small M lenses in order to carry three other cameras along with me on holiday, just in case . When I travel, I take one real camera plus a smartphone. If you find that you want a separate small camera to take out for dinner because your M kit comes in too large a bag, then get another small bag big enough for just the M with one lens on it (Fogg Flute in my case).

I agree with Paul on this. I don't have an M to carry other camera's to leave me in doubt what to use else than my M.

I gave my wife a D-lux too, works fine for the social pictures taken by the waiters and guides
