kentishrev Posted October 12, 2016 Share #7 Posted October 12, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) thanks. I've been looking for something really small and handy for wide angle shots. Looking at landscapes and views for high up, so the 3.8 shuld be fine for my purposes. A a relative newbie to the M9, would you use an external viewfinder for 24mm? Or just take a reasoned guesstimate?
TheGodParticle/Hari Posted October 12, 2016 Author Share #8 Posted October 12, 2016 thanks. I've been looking for something really small and handy for wide angle shots. Looking at landscapes and views for high up, so the 3.8 shuld be fine for my purposes. A a relative newbie to the M9, would you use an external viewfinder for 24mm? Or just take a reasoned guesstimate? Initially I was using an external finder but over a short period of time I could guesstimate the frame. Depends on the level of accuracy you need, I mostly shoot landscapes and street where I don't need to have perfect framing like in the case of architecture. Since your usage sounds similar, after a few weeks I think you will also be able to wing it without the finder. I now use the SL if i need critical framing. The 3.8 is an excellent lens, you will like it.
