MEB Posted September 4, 2016 Share #1 Posted September 4, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) At a Llama show at Michigan State University. I love these animals. If I weren't certain that my wife would murder me, I would have bought one of the young ones that were for sale at the show. Welcome, dear visitor! MEB Posted September 5, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted September 5, 2016 Stu Thank you. They are charming animals; intelligent, gentle, tolerant of children and other animals and easily domesticated (some say even housebroken). The alpaca are just as pretty but smaller. One owner said they have the personality of giant cats! At some of the Michigan State University experimental sheep breeding farms, they use Llamas (and donkeys) as shepherds to protect the flocks from coyotes and feral dogs.
