Hand a hard time getting back into my regular post under Hank, therefore changed to Henry.  The man about to cross the street seems transfixed  as she stared at him.

On second thought I believe I prefer  this in B/W Kind of a  Orwell character 1984

I generally avoid shooting other people's art and pass it as my "vision". Or posters, or ads.

I prefer in color because the person in the image stands out more.

I absolutely agree especially if it is paired with a special lens bokeh noctilux shot. I always fall in a kind of disbelief when shots like this get highest votes in the LUF one challenge.

There is a guy, on another forum, that bases his entire street photography on other people's art.

He basically stands in front of an ad or painting, sign, focuses on it and waits for people to walk in front of it. And he then takes full artistic credit for his shots.

I cannot tell you how lame it is.

Lame. Uninspired and uninspiring. Anti-artistic.I also find it quite arrogant. No vision.

Once in a while, it is acceptable. But if one bases his entire portfolio on other people's art (because it's what it is), it's Lame, Feeble. Weak. No art professor would accept that.

Yes, I'm sure you have a point even though it may be between your ears.  I enjoy other peoples art and in no way try to  pass off  their work  as mine.. If you know my work you would realize this :D

Your point of view would limit others to  photograph  art, architecture buildings   fine, automobiles  of which many in this forum enjoy.   Relax  don't take yourself so seriously.
