SleepyCat Posted August 18, 2016 Share #1  Posted August 18, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi !  I've bought D-Lux top 109 on after market an checked shutter count (number of times shutter fired). After that camera sill in service mode - yellow rectangle during power off instead of Leica logo. Camera works fine without any problem, but yellow rectangle "irritate my eye". Is there a way to cancel service mode or fully reset the camera ? Google found me nothing Thanks.

SleepyCat Posted August 18, 2016 Author Share #3 Â Posted August 18, 2016 How did you check the shutter count? Â Step by step instruction here -Â http://www.apotelyt.com/photo-camera/panasonic-lx-shutter-count It works, but put Leica camera to service mode. jaapv Posted August 18, 2016 Share #4  Posted August 18, 2016 Well, you probably messed up some service setting or corrupted the firmware. There is a reason that such menus are hidden. Leica and Panasonic firmwares differ in places as well, so it is not advisable to use Panasonic procedures on a Leica. The author was a bit foolish to add Leica type numbers, but wise enough to put in a disclaimer.  You'll have to send the camera in to reset. Unfortunately there is no Leica firmware online, as Leica did not do an update, unlike Panasonic.
SleepyCat Posted August 19, 2016 Author Share #5 Â Posted August 19, 2016 Yellow triangle means that firmware not "link" to geo region. That's all. So camera need an initial reset. I've found this procedure in Panasonic LX200 service manual. Happy end - now my Leica in normal mode and absolutely like new and works fine So I think not a lot of differences between P and L firmwares.
jaapv Posted August 19, 2016 Share #6 Â Posted August 19, 2016 Not a lot, but sometimes enough to cause trouble. Don't try to apply the Panasonic update to a Leica. Congratulations on finding the solution
