I lived and worked in Doha, Qatar for 1.5 years and was lucky enough to meet up a with a great bunch of guys there who shot mainly Leica every Friday morning. Unfortunately for most of the early time I was shooting with them my M9 was at Wetzlar waiting for a new sensor but I eventually gave up waiting and got a 240 instead.

Here are a few shots from my time there with the 240 and Summilux 50 ASPH (my only lens at the time)

I normally really like b&w images, but in this case the colour one is firmly my favourite. I once discussed with Peter turnley how you decide whether to shoot in colour or b&w, and he said that some places were colour place (e.g. Cuba) and others were b&w places (e.g. Paris). Maybe for me Doha would just be a colour place. All great images but I think maybe you have done Doha an injustice as I would like to see it more in colour, especially the one below the colour one.

I agree with the above. Some countries can't go but color like Cuba and Caribbean countries. With some exceptions of course. The Middle East however can go both ways, deciding to go color or B&W here is always a huge dilemma for me. I struggle hard and sometimes I leave my pictures days sitting there before I can make a decision. That must have been the case with our friend here:-)
