ulli Posted August 4, 2016 Share #1 Posted August 4, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, this question might be very objective... any thoughts would be appreciated. I am interested in purchasing my first Leica, I have found a MP 240 in mint condition with all original accessories for $3,900.00 and I have the option to return the camera if needed. I have seen a price range from $4,500 to $5,600 in used excellent to mint conditions and I am somewhat confused about the large differences. Would you consider this to be fair price? What should I ask the seller and what should I look for. Thank you, Robert
Advertisement Posted August 4, 2016 Posted August 4, 2016 Hi ulli, Take a look here Leica MP 240. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
Peter Kilmister Posted August 4, 2016 Share #2 Posted August 4, 2016 If it is an MP-240 that is a great price. If it is a film MP then probably not. Be careful by asking for the serial number and then check with a Leica dealer that it is not on the stolen list. If it is clear then snap it up. You won't regret it. ajmarton1 Posted August 5, 2016 Share #3 Posted August 5, 2016 I agree with Peter. I just bought a used M240 digital from a former Leica dealer in NYC. He said he checked it out and it was in grat shape. It was guaranteed and returnable. Pristine condition with everything including box and paperwork for $3,600, shipped. I love it.
