chrisconnolly Posted August 3, 2016 Share #1 Posted August 3, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Super curious if others have run into this. Had no problems with the Leica Q until the 2.0 firmware. Now, with the new firmware updated, the AF Mode area in the settings is disabled, and the camera won't let me manually set a focus point, which is super frustrating. Any others seen this / have solutions? This camera is making me feel dumb. Thanks. Welcome, dear visitor! Belle123 Posted August 3, 2016 Share #2 Posted August 3, 2016 Not sure, but the photo of the menu you have there doesn't match mine on the new version? I am wondering why the second line for AF Mode looks disabled?
Guest Posted August 3, 2016 Share #3 Posted August 3, 2016 Hi Chris .... check the Scene mode in the menu ... if set to full auto you cannot pick a focus point .... PASM ... and you can. Bob
lucerne Posted August 3, 2016 Share #4 Posted August 3, 2016 Bob. You nailed it! I've been trying to simulate Chris's screen, but couldn't quite get there.
chrisconnolly Posted August 3, 2016 Author Share #5 Posted August 3, 2016 @Bob Thanks much! Looks like the new firmware reset the Scene setting and disabled that. All working well again, much appreciated.
