HiltonJoy Posted August 3, 2016 Share #1 Posted August 3, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Reading the spec. sheet for the Leica SL, it seems clear that these three options are available. Using up to +/- EV 3 stops. Having now twice handled this camera with the 24 - 90 mm lens, I can only see an option for 3 / 5 frames. Has something changed with V-2 update ? Both cameras had this firmware installed. Many thanks. p.s. Did a search but no information found.

thighslapper Posted August 3, 2016 Share #2 Posted August 3, 2016 I cannot recall ever seeing 7 frames on the menus list ...... or for that matter why you would need so many.......
HiltonJoy Posted August 4, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted August 4, 2016 Thanks for replying. Indeed only two options seem available within the camera menu. 3 or 5 frames. However reading the users guide and specification sheet, 3 / 5 / 7 frames are shown for exposure bracketing. I have recently become more interested with HDR techniques and contrary to perceptions, some very natural results can be achieved, more accurately reflecting the eyes view. Up to 9 exposures can be used to capture the nuances of the DR scene. Highlight and Shadow recovery Post have now improved in quantum leaps, thanks in part to the newer sensors. But the priority remains to capture the information in camera when possible. Physical ND filters remain the staple of many photographers tools, particularly for landscapes. Generally these achieve a more "pleasing" result than that available Post. Thanks again. Welcome, dear visitor!
