Took the plunge.

Having recently returned to film after 15 years of digital I have found the quality of photo processing is not what it used to be. I recently had several films processed, scanned and printed at two different labs. One did an OK job, the other was terrible, scans and prints are unusable. Obviously I will be returning to try and have the problem corrected but I decided I need another approach.

To that end, I just ordered a tank, reels and changing bag, I used to do all my own B/W and E6 processing, I'm looking forward to doing it again.

Initially I'll photograph the negs on a light box with my D-Lux 109 and print at a local place I know can produce decent results from a digital file. Really good photos I will print myself on a Canon Pro 10 I have at work.

Mike congrats to decide go back to film, the better support for color and b&w. :)

Next step develop as you said by yourself , good work , no scratches , done properly

and even on sunday  (ext lab closed)

Next other step : print with an enlarger and silver paper, better and cheaper than inkjet

not the same process.

Good photos and thank you to share in our "I like film" thread :)

As said Michael persevere and your handwork will be valued

Best

Henry
