TMorita Posted September 11, 2016 Share #62  Posted September 11, 2016 For some reason I thought the X2 replacement was effectively the X-E? Gary  The X-E I guess is also an X2 replacement. Maybe closer, since it's the same f/2.8 as the original X.  Toshi
Guest VVJ Posted October 6, 2016 Share #63 Â Posted October 6, 2016 I want to get an X Vario , but so close to Photokina , thought I'd ask if a Mk II version is expected and what might be the changes . Â Sounds like the answer is No: http://leicarumors.com/2016/10/06/leica-may-skip-the-x-vario.aspx/
TMorita Posted October 7, 2016 Share #64 Â Posted October 7, 2016 Sounds like the answer is No: http://leicarumors.com/2016/10/06/leica-may-skip-the-x-vario.aspx/ Â There's rumors of a new X, so it sounds like it will be a new X with a 35mm equivalent lens. NZDavid Posted October 25, 2016 Share #65 Â Posted October 25, 2016 I'd love an X with interchangeable lenses as a companion to the M series. T lenses would fit. I just prefer the intuitive straightforward M-style controls as opposed to a touchscreen. Or is that just me?

gbealnz Posted October 26, 2016 Share #67 Â Posted October 26, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I'd love an X with interchangeable lenses as a companion to the M series. T lenses would fit. I just prefer the intuitive straightforward M-style controls as opposed to a touchscreen. Or is that just me? Thought it could be a southern hemisphere thing David, Trivette possibly being the exception. Having had both the T, and the X-Vario, I too preferred the layout, and the ability to set virtually everything before powering the camera up. The T was nice, but the touchscreen occasionally either "stalled" or didn't work first or second time. Swiping or touching never really was how I wanted the camera to work, as opposed to the old fashioned way with the buttons etc of the X-Vario. I still have the X-Vario, and find the lens is more than adequate. Those that pass judgement on the lens usually haven't used it, as most that have one are usually quite complimentary. It's a slightly dated camera now, but for travel, it's hard to beat. Gary
