Sunday was a miserably hot day, so decided to go to the coast for cool breezes and a walk, and took the SL and some lenses along..........just in case. In the little hamlet of Inverness I came across the old stranded fishing boat I have been shooting with every camera and lens I've owned since I've lived here, and set up the tripod to informally and not very scientifically compare the two dedicated SL 'system' lenses to get an idea of how their images and renderings compared, and if they indeed displayed & shared the famed Leica lens characteristics of color fidelity, contrast, neutrality, etc. as most M lenses do.

Both images were taken at 90mm ( the common focal length both share ), in A mode, in DNG, with aperture set at f8.0 & ISO set at 100.

I imported the images into LR5, applied minor color temp. correction  ( in DNG I detect a strong bluish hue in all images ) and straightened the horizon.
