ralphh Posted July 17, 2016 Share #1 Posted July 17, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) Took my daughter to 'The Chocolate Cafe' this morning at 8:30 to drink some hot chocolate and eat a chocolate muffin with chocolate sause. And take some photos of course. I think we might make this a regular Sunday morning dad-daughter thing; it's not hard to get buy-in from her when there's lots of chocolate involved Welcome, dear visitor! ralphh Posted July 17, 2016 Author Share #3 Posted July 17, 2016 I just opened her curtains Specifically to go take a photo! I was in this place yesterday with my wife and decided it would be great for a photo of my daughter, so I asked what time they opened, and was queueing outside the door at 8:30 so it was empty

stuny Posted July 31, 2016 Share #6 Posted July 31, 2016 Delightful. Did you say chocolate? I'll meet you there.
Neko Posted August 4, 2016 Share #7 Posted August 4, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I like the shot. The place is beautiful and the light is very nice. The composition is spot on. Maybe the left edge is to bright to my taste. My mother always reads the newspaper close to the window. I point my MM to the window to measure the light and then recompose. This way I don´t burn the highlights and I can always recover the shadow detail in PP. But is just a matter of taste IMHO. BTW I love chocolate!! Thanks for sharing! ralphh Posted August 4, 2016 Author Share #8 Posted August 4, 2016 Thanks Neko. I actually had the window reasonably exposed - bright, but not blown - but there was something very red outside so I blew it out in post to make it less distracting. Perhaps I overdid it
Neko Posted August 5, 2016 Share #9 Posted August 5, 2016 Thanks Neko. I actually had the window reasonably exposed - bright, but not blown - but there was something very red outside so I blew it out in post to make it less distracting. Perhaps I overdid it The shot is perfectly OK. Thanks for elaborating. As member Longboarder said: Next time with chocolate moustache, please
ralphh Posted August 5, 2016 Author Share #10 Posted August 5, 2016 I'll see if I have one - probably do. This is the SOOC shot in case you're interested. Personally found the junk in the window quite distracting although the red stripe does match with the cup and the cushion I guess Welcome, dear visitor! Neko Posted August 5, 2016 Share #11 Posted August 5, 2016 LOL In my view, in the second one the window looks much better .....But I prefer the general contrast in the first one. As the song ¨Never Satisfied¨ says: ¨No matter what you do, it´s never enough....¨
