Summilux 35mm 1.4 VII ND filter question

I have a VII 35 Summilux and hood 12504. According to Wiki, this lens required E41 filter. As lens has no threads for filter, it must be inserted in hood. I wish to purchase an 8x ND filter for use on this lens but am having no success in my quest, through normal channels, of finding an E41 ND filter of any type/brand. What options, if any, are available to me as I continue my search of an ND filter for use on this lens.

Thanks,

Desperate.

Hello,

Two ways to use a filter in the hood.

The hood 12504 separates in two parts to accept a filter inside, and the right filter size is Serie 7 with no screw.

Another way is in place of Serie 7 filter, a filter E49 (not E41) can replace it.

Sometime I must put the E49 filter inside-out to be able to screw the two parts of the 12504 hood.

E49 filter size is very common and cheap.

Have fun,

Arnaud

Only the v1 had threads. If you have no threads, then a series 7 (or 49mm) in the hood (or a custom option) is the only way to go. B&W make them.
