wlaidlaw Posted July 10, 2016 Share #1 Posted July 10, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I have kept on using iPhotos as my JPEG image library system (I use Capture One for my RAW image library), as the newer Apple Photos App does not permit you to use Photoshop as an external editor, like iPhotos does. Sooner or later, iPhotos, which is no longer being updated, will stop working or develop a nasty security hole. I am actually surprised it does continue to work in Sierra OS 10.12. I have now come across a brilliant little App called External Editors for Photos, which costs an extravagant £0.79p. It enables you to select Photoshop as an external editor for images stored in Photos, via an extension. When you save in Photoshop, it automatically saves the image in the correct location in Photos. I looked at the coding and it is not at all complicated. Why on earth Apple did not put this in as standard, escapes me. An excellent 79 pennies worth.
