Ivar B Posted July 6, 2016 Share #1  Posted July 6, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I just had the Arte di mano half case for the SL delivered. It is really beautifully made and with a precision fit which in my opinion is better than what I experienced with M cases from other suppliers in the same price league.  If anyone is in the market for a case, this case can no doubt be recommended. I bought it from their eBay store.

Albert Andersen Posted July 6, 2016 Share #3  Posted July 6, 2016 I've had Arte de Mano case, but found the leather too thick. It seemed a little clumsy. Have now bought a similar Luigi case. It is thinner and fits perfectly. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! TheGodParticle/Hari Posted July 6, 2016 Share #5 Â Posted July 6, 2016 I've only had very good experience with the AdM cases for the CCD and CMOS M's. Haven't tried one for the SL yet, do they come with a strap? If yes, how good is the strap? To me, the SL is most unfriendly to shoulder/neck straps. The minute I took the straps off and use naked, my irritation level went down a dozen notches. Does a supplied AdM strap fare better than the one supplied by Leica? I use one SL mostly with M lenses and another SL with the 24-90 and 90-280. Â Â Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Ivar B Posted July 7, 2016 Author Share #6  Posted July 7, 2016 In my opinion, it is really beautifully made and with a perfect fit. Certainly better than other cases I have tried in the past. thighslapper Posted July 7, 2016 Share #11  Posted July 7, 2016 The strap is a very nice padded leather 15" with the same arced profile as the supplied one and similar nylon ends/fitments.

dgktkr Posted July 9, 2016 Share #15  Posted July 9, 2016 Do you feel so? It's my personal experience, try one and you'll find out   The reason I ask is the apparent contradiction: the second of your photos shows what appears to be the battery compartment covered and the tripod mount occupied by a screw that attaches the half case. So could you explain "and you still have your tripod mount plus a battery door"?  dgktkr

So could you explain "and you still have your tripod mount plus a battery door"?  dgktkr I use an old photo as 500kb restriction hassled me. Arte di Mano forgot to send me a tripod mounted screw at first. That I used tripod screw to lock the case onto the SL body. The spec is written in their ebay site, also whether or not you want to add a lcd cover for extra charge (I didn't get one). Welcome, dear visitor! Sandokan Posted July 10, 2016 Share #17 Â Posted July 10, 2016 I have the Angelo Pelle half case in Fox Brown. His M case with the built-in grip was superb. It does not have the battery case and I wish it did. Â For a strap, I use the Peak Design strap which is very comfortable and spreads the load across the shoulder. I also have their hand straps (both designs) and with the quick release buttons that slide into the strap and the Arca Swiss compatible quick release plates onto which you can attach their button, it is a super system.
