I went back to one very recently and will consider picking up a second one. I love the files I get and the pleasure of using it......as much as pleasure of the M2 no, but it's still pretty good! Never mind the speed of my computer, the M9 is certainly slow enough and I tolerate it, clunker that it is. I tolerate it because I love shooting with it and also as I stated earlier, the files it yields. I was responding to the OP and supporting the post by Roelandinho about the lovely simplicity of the M9, not the 240, and speaking for myself based on my experience shooting many Leica M cameras (CL and R6 too) over decades. I'm just a guy here and in no way mean to denigrate the 240, which I acknowledge is a better camera than the M9 in some respects. I do think that "240" is better designation for that camera than M as it was originally called and marked. Again that is my view and I would hope that I am entitled to express it here. I certainly welcome and encourage varied opinions expressed here as we are all richer for tolerating the views of others on this forum. I haven't looked much at the 262 because I'd probably wait a while to get any other M once prices drop (unless I found a great deal on an M9 or used Monochrome). As for file size, I am fine with where the M9 is and had an RX1. When the new one RX-1 II with larger files came out, aside from that I couldn't afford to get it, I thought I'd prefer to stay with smaller files, mainly to save space. It is one of the most enjoyable cameras I've shot, but one of the most frustrating in the beginning. For my needs, it is slowly becoming something I'd like to upgrade, as I'm shooting more and more video for personal use, and carrying extra cameras for video is less and less attractive. I'd prefer to not give up the rangefinder focus and handling experience of the M9 to move to something like a Sony A7s or A7r variant. But for when pure photography is the game, the M9 is the one I take. You could also buy a used ME if you want the CCD output, and used M240s are becoming cheaper, too.
