There is the EVF2 (cheaper) and the typ 020. Both look similar. Which one is right for the Leica X? Or is there another better option? Â Thanks in advance! Wouldn't it be a real world user experience if you bought the EVF2 just to find out that it doesn't work with the X?  Actually, just a glance at the pictures of the rear sides of an X and an X Vario seems to show that the sockets for the EVF are quite different; just look at the  relative positions of the  electrical contacts.  From that alone I would guess that the EVF2 was for the X2 and the X Vario, the other one for the "plain" X. jaapv Posted June 3, 2016 Share #5  Posted June 3, 2016 Olympus EV2 and Leica EVF2 work on the X2. I use both. The Visoflex 020 does not work on the X2.
