marknorton Posted June 6, 2007 Share #3 Posted June 6, 2007 I agree! Makes you think that putting in the USB port was a waste of time - and to think I worried (briefly) about the durability of the connector cover!
chap Posted June 6, 2007 Author Share #4 Posted June 6, 2007 Thanks. Sure would be nice if one could stick a microdrive in the USB slot and download.
luigi bertolotti Posted June 6, 2007 Share #5 Posted June 6, 2007 I agree! Makes you think that putting in the USB port was a waste of time - and to think I worried (briefly) about the durability of the connector cover! ... Yeeep, that USB connection cover... Mark, You have been great when dismantled the M8, but tell me: don't you think that cover COULD have been done slightly better ? It does not give me the right feeling... I have been concerned, for my PC-embedded SD card reader could not read my 2GB SanDisk card, and I had to use the (well-working) USB connection: then, thanks to an advice from this forum, I bought an external USB card reader (very cheap) and all is right: now, I hope to have to open the USB cover as less as possible... Guest guy_mancuso Posted June 6, 2007 Share #6 Posted June 6, 2007 Try using the USB for tethered work, works nicely in conjunction with LR
DaveEP Posted June 6, 2007 Share #7 Posted June 6, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Try using the USB for tethered work, works nicely in conjunction with LR But you need to use the Leica software right? I have never even connected the USB to the M8! I have shot tethered with the 1Ds2 in C1Pro (and really liked it), but not the M8 yet..... what does it take to make it work?
