John Z. Goriup Posted May 16, 2016 Share #1 Posted May 16, 2016 Advertisement (gone after registration) I've seen a couple of Pagani Zondas, but until last Saturday morning at the monthly Canepa Cars & Coffee meeting I had never laid eyes on a Huayra, Pagani's latest effort. A set of 4 images of this remarkable exercise in exuberant excess. At more than US $ 2.5 million, it's even more outlandishly expensive than the Zonda, but it's a completely re-engineered and lightened evolution ( under 2.700 pounds......can you imagine the power-to-weight ratio ) made almost entirely of carbon-fiber and titanium, still uses a custom-made Mercedes-Benz 6-liter V-12 twin-turbo AMG motor making upwards of 775 HP, Tiptronic-type 6-speed transmission, every fashionable option avilable on the most exotic of supercars ( how I despise that word.....and the concept ), goes over 200 miles an hour and is guaranteed to elicit two questions from every over-heated teenager who lays eyes on it: How fast will it go ?..................and, How much did it cost ?. John Z. Goriup Posted May 16, 2016 Author Share #4 Posted May 16, 2016 .......and the final image, of the hand-fabricated titanium exhaust system. As negative an opinion as I hold about the whole idea behind a car like this, even I have to grudgingly admit that the sound is simply to die for. Thanks for looking, JZG Welcome, dear visitor!
