IkarusJohn Posted April 29, 2016 Author Share #6 Posted April 29, 2016 This car has a little leather belt, which threads through the bottom of the grill to hold the bonnet latch locked. The story goes that a bonnet latch on an XK150 failed, the bonnet flew open and impaled the driver with the leaping jaguar, killing him. Maybe apocryphal - Wilson will be able to shed light on that story, I'm sure. Welcome, dear visitor!
